Meet Jordyn
Jordyn Cirner
Jordyn Cirner was born on November 11, 2005, and was diagnosed with RCDP Type 2 even before birth.
Throughout her life, Jordyn has undergone numerous surgeries at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. These include Tethered Cord Surgery, a Tonsillectomy, Ear Tube surgery, and Cataract Surgery on both eyes. After wearing contacts for many years, she now has intraocular lenses. In addition, Jordyn has been diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse.
Because she cannot tolerate oral nutrition, Jordyn relies on a GJ tube for medications and continuous feeds, as bolus feeding is not an option for her. Jordyn also receives daily respiratory therapies to support her overall well-being.
Due to her condition, Jordyn requires constant care and benefits from a comprehensive range of therapies, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Music Therapy, and other specialized treatments tailored to her needs.
Despite these challenges, Jordyn continues to face severe scoliosis, daily seizures, and other health obstacles with incredible resilience and strength. She finds joy in her princess lights and communicating through her board, brightening the lives of everyone around her. As a poster child for Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, Jordyn is truly one of the toughest and most inspiring young girls you could ever meet.
