Meet Charlie

Charlie Martin

At Charlie's 19th week ultrasound, the Dr detected some pretty major abnormalities with Charlie's development. We were told that because of the great special needs our son would be facing, we may want to consider an abortion. However, we felt strongly that God had a beautiful plan for Charlie's life despite what the ultrasound showed and the specialists told us. Over the next weeks and months, we gathered as much information as possible on this incredibly rare and foreign disorder that he would be born with.

Charlie was born on November 11, 2015. He was absolutely perfect. He stayed in the NICU for two weeks and they trained us how to do his feeds and therapy. Charlie has had surgery to remove cataracts in both eyes and has also had a g-tube put in. Although, he endures so much his attitude is amazing! He is so sweet and happy and brings us so much joy. When you are around Charlie, it is truly experiencing the purest form of love. He has many challenges ahead, but we just enjoy every minute with our sweet boy and could not be more proud to have him as our son!
